Meet Shawn Russell Kirkpatrick of SRK Taxidermy Studio


I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy, where I developed the technical foundation for my craft. More than two decades later, I continue to bring that training and experience to every trophy entrusted to me.


For me, taxidermy is about more than creating a display. It is about respecting the animal, understanding what the hunt means to the hunter, and creating a finished piece that keeps that memory alive for years to come.

Taxidermy requires patience, technical skill, and an eye for the details that give each animal its character. My education at the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy gave me a strong professional foundation, and years of hands-on experience have allowed me to continue developing my craft.



I provide deer taxidermy, turkey taxidermy, small mammal taxidermy, prey taxidermy, shoulder mounts, skull mounts, and life-size taxidermy.


Every animal is different, and I approach each project with the care and attention it deserves.

SRK Taxidermy Studio is my business and my craft. You work directly with me, giving you the opportunity to discuss your trophy, preferred mount, and ideas with the person responsible for the work.

I focus on form, proportion, positioning, expression, and the distinctive characteristics of each animal. My goal is to create a natural-looking presentation that feels true to the trophy you remember.

I want each finished piece to be more than something on display. My goal is to create custom wildlife taxidermy that respects the animal while giving you a lasting reminder of the experience behind it.
